Jerry Seinfeld, by name of Jerome Allen Seinfeld born on April 29, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York, is a U.S. American comedian whose television show Seinfeld from 1989 to 1998 was a landmark of American popular culture in the late 20th century.
Seinfeld’s interest in comedy was sparked at an early age through the influence of his father, a sign-maker who was also the closet comedian. By age eight Seinfeld was nutting himself through religious comic training watching television day and night to study the technique of comedians. Over the years, he developed a unique style of comedy that centered on his very observations of life’s mundanities.Â
He made his stand-up debut in 1976 and worked his way to an appearance on the tonight show in 1998, which gave Seinfeld his first national exposure. By the late 1980s, he was one of the highest-profit stand-up comedians in the United States.

As a stand-up comedian, Seinfeld specializes in comedy. In 2004, Comedy Centre named him the 12th-greatest stand-up comedian of all time. Jerry Seinfeld went to Massapequa High School that’s based in Long Island. After graduating from high school, he proceeded to the state university of New York, where he did his first and second years.Â
He later transferred to Queens College, the City University of New York, from where he graduated with a degree in communications and theater. During his college years, Jerry Seinfeld participated in various comedy productions.
It was then that he took an interest in stand-up comedy. Seinfeld enrolled for several stand-up comedy auditions in New York City and in 1980, he landed a role in the sitcom Beason.
However, he was fired from the show a few months later. Jerry Seinfeld’s rise to stardom started in 1981 when he appeared and put up a stellar performance on The tonight show. His stand-up comedy career finally took off when he co-created. The Seinfeld Chronicles in 1988, along with Larry David.
