In 1971, Richard Morgan flier joined Gagne’s wrestling camp which was set up at Gagne’s barn outside Minneapolis. He trained along with Gagne’s son Greg Gagne, Jim Brunel, The Iron Sheik, and Ken Patera. He took up the ring and had his first match AWA and joined the National Wrestling Alliance in 1974.
